The Misfits carved out a niche in punk music by singing almost exclusively about horror movies. Glenn Danzig wrote all the lyrics and music.

Has only recorded 4 cover songs in his entire career. "Rat Fink" by Allan Sherman in 1979. "The Hunter" by Albert King in 1988. "Trouble" by Elvis Presley in 1992. "Hand of Doom" by Black Sabbath in 1996.

Is an avid weightlifter and practices Jeet Kune Do.

The lettering for the bands "Samhain" and "Danzig" are both exactly the same and are borrowed from the title's font for "The Giant Gila Monster".

His first band The Misfits became famous again after Metallica recorded and popularized covers of three Misfits songs: "Last Caress", "Green Hell" and the most famous of these three "Die, Die My Darling"

Was offered the role of Wolverine in X-Men (2000), but turned it down due to a scheduling conflict during the time of filming.

Met Jerry Only in high school, and then formed the Misfits.

He is best friends with Henry Rollins (Black flag, The Rollins band).
