Mother-in-law of Vlassis Bonatsos
Her first starring role and big break came in 1961, after Aliki Vougiouklaki the number one box-office star in Greece, turned down the part of Rea in the sexually charged melodrama _Katiforos, O (1961)_(Downhill Road). She got the part and became an overnight sensation in Greece.
Epitomized the "bad girl" in the Greek commercial cinema of the 60s. Her closest equivalent in the American cinema of the period would be Tuesday Weld.
