The fairy Godmother of wedding dresses, Vera Wang, spoke to "The Insider" on Tuesday night about one of her latest headline-making masterpieces--Chelsea Clinton's stunning gown. The names behind the designer labels stepped away from the drawing board to attend "Fashion's Night Out: The Show" in Lincoln Center. Vera said Chelsea and her new husband Marc Mezvinsky are "an incredible couple and I was very proud to [make] the dress. I've known her since she was a young girl." The fashion industry's queen bee, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, set out on a mission to make lofty trends accessible to not just the elite few that get the golden ticket to the Fashion Week tent. "We wanted to really get the woman in the street, the man in the street excited about shopping, excited about fashion, and we feel it's a very democratic event," she said. "Tonight is a consumer fashion show open to anyone who bought a ticket. It's not just about the insiders." Vera supported this groundbreaking catwalk as well, which features clothing of all different price points, available in stores now. "I also think it brings fashion to where it should be, which is with the arts," she asserted. "That's arguable, but to me fashion is an art form. It's expressive, it's interactive…" The event brought out the girly-girl side of model Bar Refaeli. She said, "As a girl, I like to every day get dressed up. Every night there's a different event, a different party, so I get to wear all kinds of designers and get made up, makeup, hair." The brainchild of Vogue, major cities worldwide are hosting Fashion's Night Out events on Friday, September 10 with special in-store promotions and celebrity appearances. "Project Runway" judge and style maven Michael Kors implied, "I think simplistically, it's turning shopping and fashion into a holiday. Last year it was more exciting than Halloween." This year I've worked harder than I ever have before to prepare for this competition. The whole season has been building toward this and waiting for that clean skate the whole season, and to get it in most important moment is pretty special." It was a cold war on the ice with a fierce competition between Lysacek and 2006 Olympic champ, Russia's Evgeni Plushenko. But in the end, the golden California sun turned into a medal of gold hanging around Lysacek’s neck. From a fashion perspective, he took the ice in a featherless Vera Wang outfit for the long program. In other results, the two other Americans finished short of the podium. Johnny Weir placed sixth and Jeremy Abbott ninth. Japan's Daisuke Takahashi earned the bronze medal.

The oldest of the Jonas trio reportedly got married earlier this month to Danielle DeLeasa in Long Island, NY. The couple wed at a French-style chateau on an estate in Long Island, People.com reported following the nuptials. "We're so happy that we're finally married and we were able to share the special moment with family, friends and loved ones," the couple told the site. Kevin's younger brothers Joe and Nick served as his best men, and the nuptials were attended by about 400 family members and friends, such as Disney star Demi Lovato. The bride, who was escorted down the aisle by her father, wore a strapless tulle and Chantilly lace Vera Wang gown, reports People. The couple then said their vows and gave one another wedding bands which they designed for each other. The event was reportedly like something out of a fairy tale, held beneath white tents with 14-foot trees that sparkled with hydrangeas and faux-icicles. Kevin proposed this past June, giving Danielle a cushion-cut diamond ring. The couple dated for two years after meeting in the Bahamas. Kevin told People magazine soon after they became engaged that Danielle said, "Yes, yes, yes like 500 times super fast in a row" when he popped the question. The People issue featuring Kevin and Danielle will hit newsstands this Thursday.

The Jonas Brothers singer - who got engaged to girlfriend Danielle Deleasa in July - is set to marry his fiancee on Saturday (19.12.09) in front of family and friends at an estate in Long Island, New York.
Actress Alyssa Milano got hitched over the weekend. People.com reports that Milano wed Hollywood agent David Bugliari on Saturday in New Jersey at his family's estate. The former "Charmed" star wore a Vera Wang custom gown and walked down the aisle carrying a bouquet of lily of the valley flowers while John Lennon's "Imagine" played, says People. "We wanted a wedding that was reflective of who we are as a couple" Milano tells the mag. Guests enjoyed a family-style dinner at the reception, a reflection of the couple’s close ties with their family. "My Italian family still eats Sunday dinner together every week," Milano tells People. "We wanted to capture the same feeling with people passing around beautiful bowls of food and talking and laughing." Bugliari proposed to Milano last December.
