Misery loves company -- Dr. Conrad Murray says he won't be spending what could be his final days of freedom alone.

While the jury deliberates the doc was spotted walking in Santa Monica ...and claimed he'll be hunkering down with "friends and family, and my children."

As TMZ first reported, Murray is "optimistic" the jury will acquit -- but, he claims, he ultimately has "no idea" how they'll swing.

The day after Conrad Murray's defense team rested their case in his manslaughter trial, the doc enjoyed a day at the beach with his girlfriend Nicole Alvarez and their son in Santa Monica on Wednesday.

Closing arguments are scheduled to begin this morning -- and some experts believe there is a good chance the jury could return a verdict by the end of the week.

This is how he rolls ... his jeans.




Last night, Conrad went to Gladstones in Malibu with some of his former patients for a fancy pre-closing arguments dinner.

We asked Murray if he regrets not testifying on his behalf ...  but it was obvious what his biggest regret was ... no leftovers wrapped in those awesome tinfoil swans.

Dr. Conrad Murray made a pretty shocking statement last night, leaving a restaurant in Santa Monica.  He said, "I would like to pray for the prosecutor, his associates, and his expert witness."

Sadly, the photog didn't ask why Murray was praying for them ... whether it's because he prays for everyone, be they friend or foe -- or whether he's praying because he believes they are portraying him unfairly/unethically before the jury.

All in all, feds claim Bulger had 30 firearms, $822 thousand in cash ... and a grenade in his possession ... along with false social security cards and birth certificates.

The 81-year-old leader of Boston's infamous Winter Hill gang was arrested in Santa Monica on June 22 -- after spending 16 years on the FBI's Most Wanted List.

He faces multiple charges for murder, conspiracy to commit murder, extortion, narcotics distribution and money-laundering.

Filed under: Roberts Blossom, RIP, Deadline Roberts Blossom -- best known as the creepy, snow-shoveling neighbor in "Home Alone" who ends up saving the day (spoiler alert) -- died Friday of natural causes in Santa Monica, California.




Blossom appeared in many films before landing the role of "old man Marley" in "Home Alone" -- including, "Deranged", "The Great Gatsby", "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" and "Doc Hollywood".

In addition to his acting career -- Blossom was a World War II Vet and a well-respected poet.

He was 87.

Filed under: Whitey Bulger, Celebrity Justice Flanked by an armed military escort ... and with his hands and feet locked in chains ... 81-year-old mobster Whitey Bulger emerged from a Coast Guard chopper in Plymouth, Mass. today after facing off with a Boston judge.




Bulger --  a longtime staple on the FBI's Most Wanted List -- had just appeared in U.S. District Court in south Boston, where a judge granted his request to be represented by a public defender.

Bulger has been charged with multiple murder counts, as well as conspiracy to commit murder, extortion, narcotics distribution and money-laundering charges stemming from his role as the leader of Boston's infamous Winter Hill gang.




Bulger had been on the run for 16 years ... before federal agents located the mobster in Santa Monica, CA -- where he had been living a pretty chill life with his girlfriend.

FYI -- Jack Nicholson's character in "The Departed" was allegedly inspired by Bulger's life.

Sources tell us ... Gomez was feeling horrible during and after the show, complaining of nausea and a severe headache. 

She was taken to a Los Angeles area hospital and is still there, undergoing tests.

We're told the exact cause of her illness is not yet known.

UPDATE: Selena just canceled her performance tonight at Santa Monica Place, an outdoor mall in L.A.

Filed under: Luc Robitaille, TMZ Sports Luc Robitaille -- a National Hockey League Hall of Famer who reportedly raked in roughly $35 million during his career -- is in danger of losing his L.A. home now that a bank has begun to foreclose on the property.




TMZ obtained a lawsuit ... which claims Robitaille and his wife stopped paying the mortgage on their Santa Monica, CA home.

According to the suit, Robitaille took a $975,000 loan out on the house in October 2009, but stopped making the monthly payments in December 2010.

The Bank has now filed foreclosure docs, and wants the remaining balance of $957,245.85 -- along with late charges and other stuff.
