'dancing With The Stars' Contestants Answer: Is Ballroom Dancing Ageless?
"Dancing with the Stars'" oldest competitor of the season, Tom DeLay, resigned from the show Tuesday night due to stress fractures in both of his feet. "The Insider"'s Samantha Harris asked the stars and pros if an age limit should be imposed on the show. Dancers responded with a unanimous, "No." Mark Ballas said, "Dancing has no age." Past "Dancing" competitors have been older than DeLay and avoided injury. Louis Van Amstel recalled, "Priscilla [Presley] was 62. She did it. It was no problem." Anna Trebunskaya posed the question, "Cloris Leachman did it for how many weeks and she was 80-something years old?" Donny Osmond is sad to see DeLay exit the show because, he realized, "I'm now the oldest dancer." He joked, "It doesn't matter. I dance like a 15-year-old." One of the youngest competitors this season, Louis Vito, projected that, "When I'm old, I don't want anyone telling me what to do." He continued, "Age is a number. Who's going to tell you that you're old or young?" Everyone recommended that the show should take precautions to prevent injuries by subjecting the stars to physical exams and choreographing routines to be sympathetic to any conditions they may have. Additional padding can also be added to the shoes to comfort the feet. The stars that remain standing will show off their next dance on Monday's "Dancing with the Stars" on ABC.[Read full story on The Insider]

He sadly reported that he is unable to practice due to his injury, and said: "If you can't practice, you make a fool out of yourself out here, and I don't want to do that to [my partner] Cheryl [Burke]." Host Tom Bergeron invited DeLay to come back and do the Texas Two-Step in the finale, if his feet are up to it at that point. Bergeron also said that since it had already been announced earlier in the show that DeLay and Burke did not have the lowest score, the couple who did have the lowest score would still be sent home. On Tuesday night's "The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose" special, Jillian Harris and her fiancé Ed dished on how soon they plan to walk down the aisle -- plus, Jillian shared emotional words with two of her heartbroken suitors, Kiptyn and Reid. Read on for the full recap! First up, Melissa Rycroft returned and admitted to host Craig Harrison that she now feels Jason Mesnick was right to choose Molly Malaney over her on the shocking conclusion of last season’s “The Bachelor.” “It’s definitely been something I’ve embraced and I love,” Melissa said of getting dumped by Jason on TV. The 26-year-old "DWTS" finalist is planning to tie the knot with Dallas insurance agent Tye Strickland, 28. Then it was time for "The Bachelorette's" showdown with two of her spurned suitors. Jillian first shared the couch with Kiptyn, who on the show's season finale approached "The Bachelorette" with an engagement ring in pocket but was turned down. "What could I have done differently?" Kiptyn asked Jillian on the couch. "You didn't do anything wrong," Jillian responded, voice wavering with emotion. "You're somebody that made me feel very loved." Kiptyn accepted Jillian's answer but admitted earlier that the rejection was "crushing." Next, Jillian went face-to-face with Reid, who made a surprising return from elimination -- and an even more shocking proposal to Jillian -- on the show's finale. "When I came back, was there a part of you that wanted to say 'yes'?" Reid asked Jillian on the couch. She replied: "I think you know I knew that when I let you go I wasn't ready to let you go." She then thanked him for returning on the finale, but confessed that having to reject him was "heartwrenching." "I still feel hurt and I don't want him to hurt," she said. Reid, for his part, said he thought his surprise proposal would be a "slam dunk." Finally, Jillian and her true love Ed shared the couch -- not to mention several smooches. Ed revealed that Jillian is planning to move in to his downtown Chicago pad soon. He then predicted they will get married within the next 12 months. "It feels good so far, and I'm just excited to really get out there [together]," the 29-year-old technology consultant said of life with Jillian. He added they'd only been apart about five days total so far this summer. "I'm in a very good place right now," said a bubbly Jillian. "I'm so lucky."[Read full story on The Insider]
