Miss Ohio in 1992 and a top ten finalist in the Miss America pageant. Meade won a regional Emmy Award for her efforts covering the 1995 Metra train collision with a school bus that was stopped at a red light fouling the [railroad] right-of-way in Fox River Grove, IL, that killed seven and injured more than 24 teenagers. Grew up in New London, Ohio and graduated from New London High School. Attended Ashland University and Malone College. Graduated in 1991 with a major in programming and performance.
