Exclusive: Insider To White House Party Crashers Tells All
"The Insider" has an exclusive interview with the stylist of the aspiring reality stars, who was with the couple moments before they reportedly crashed the White House State Dinner Tuesday night. Polo-playing socialites Tareq and Michaele Salahi posted a pic on their joint Facebook account of Michaele mingling with Vice President Joe Biden among other photos, but a White House official told the Washington Post that the couple were not invited to the dinner and were never seated at a table in the South Lawn tent. In addition to their upcoming stint on Bravo, the couple is also known for their family feud over a Fauquier County winery, according to the newspaper. Erwin Gomez -- owner and makeup artist of the Erwin Gomez salon located in the Georgetown area of Washington D.C. -- told ET he did Michaele's hair and makeup for the entire event. Gomez worked on members of First Lady Michelle Obama's immediate family during the inauguration festivities. When asked if he knew that the aspiring "Real Housewives" couple was crashing the party, he responded, "No, they told me that they were invited. They talked to one of my employees Peggy. They called us last minute. I had to cancel lunch to do this job." Gomez says he has known Michaele for over 15 years and that she paid for his services with a credit card. “She was so excited to be going to the party. She brought in the dress she was going to wear to the dinner and I helped her dress in my salon.” When Gomez inquired as to how the couple got an invite to the elite event, he said they responded, saying, "They told me, 'We’re doing something for a charity polo event involving India.' ... Tareq didn’t talk much. He just waited for hours in the salon while we worked on Michaele. He did tell me, ‘I’m thinking of doing a bed and breakfast spa at the winery.'" When hearing that the couple crashed the party, Gomez said he was "shocked." He told only "The Insider", saying, “ She told me she was invited. She claimed the invitation was in the car, but she never went out and got it to show to us.” "I’m a little embarrassed to say that we are friends. They’re like con artists." This won't be the last time time Gomez sees the aspiring TV stars. "Michaele called to hire my company again Wednesday to do her makeup at another location," he told ET. Keep checking ETonline for more exclusives on this party crashing story...[Read full story on The Insider]

President Obama Urges Ioc To Choose Chicago As Host City For 2016 Olympics
President Barack Obama arrived early Friday morning in Copenhagen to deliver a heartfelt pitch for his hometown of Chicago to host the 2016 Olympic Games. His wife, Michelle Obama, dressed in a gold ensemble, delivered a speech as well, ending with, "I brought somebody with me today who knows a little something about change." That was the President's cue to make his valiant effort to convince the International Olympic Committee to select Chicago over Madrid, Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo, the other cities petitioning for the bid. The President spoke "as a faithful representative of the American people." He explained that he would like to welcome the world "to the shores of Lake Michigan and the heartland of our nation." After a childhood of moving often, he explained that Chicago is "a city where I finally found a home." He made it clear throughout his presentation how much he would like for his city and nation to host this world-class event. Upon settling there, he said, "I came to discover that Chicago is [the] most American of American cities, but one where citizens from more than 130 nations inhabit a rich tapestry of distinctive neighborhoods." The President continued, saying Chicago is "a place where our unity is on colorful display at so many festivals and parades and especially at sporting events, where perfect strangers become fast friends just because they're wearing the same jersey." This is just what the Olympic movement stands to represent. He ended with a touching plea, saying, "There is nothing I would like more than to step just a few blocks from my family's home with Michelle and our two girls and welcome the world back into our neighborhood."[Read full story on The Insider]
