"Desperate Housewives'" leading lady Teri Hatcher is about to check something off her to-do list…participating in a triathlon. According to People, the physically fit 44-year-old actress will lace up her sneakers and put on her swim cap for next week's Nautica Malibu Triathlon. Disney invited her to lead a team in the event to raise money for the Children's Hospital Los Angeles. This invitation ironically came soon after Hatcher and a friend were talking about their "bucket lists." She told People, "I want to learn to play a couple of songs on the guitar. I want to learn a few of those fancy dances from one of those 'Dancing with the Stars' teachers. And I want to run a triathlon." Hatcher has adjusted her workout regime this last month to prepare, riding her bike to Wisteria Lane three or four times per week. She confesses that the final phase of the triathlon, a four-mile run, is where she will struggle. The star tells People, "By that point, I'm really tired, so the whole time I'm thinking, 'I'm not going to make it.'" Supporters can visit Teamhatcher.org to sponsor the star and donate to her cause. The Nautica Malibu Triathlon is scheduled to take place on September 13. Stars such as Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey participated in this event last year.

Last April, "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star/aspiring country music singer Kim Zolciak filed a police report against co-star NeNe Leakes, claiming NeNe tried to "choke her out" during a heated confrontation. Now, NeNe is telling her side of the story to "The Insider"! "There was an altercation -- 100 percent, girl," says NeNe, but she says she cannot divulge details. You'll just have to watch the show! "What I have to say about Kim filing the report saying that I choked her out: Why am I not in jail? Why haven't they come and get me, honey? Come and get me, darling," says NeNe. "I do want to say this: I'm an advocate against domestic violence, and I am a victim of domestic abuse, and I was in [an abusive] relationship for many, many years because I couldn't find it in myself to get out. … You can voice your opinion to me as long as you want to, you can yell, but you can not put your hands on me. At all. And if you put your hands on me, I'm the police, okay?" "I think that the reason why Kim wanted to run and file an incident report and try to make this thing bigger than what it is, I feel like she wants to bring me down in some kind of way; I think that really sucks," continues NeNe. "We are full of drama and we really have this stuff going on," she explains. "We are five very strong women with very strong personalities. We tell it like it is, and the people love it." In addition to the new season of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" on Bravo, NeNe has a new memoir coming out called Never Make the Same Mistake Twice. "It's about my life and some of the relationships I've had over the years and the mistakes I've made -- and the strength I've had to come through," she explains, adding that she'll touch on the life lessons of having a child out of wedlock, her abusive relationship and finding true love.
