'big Brother' Crowns A Big Winner
Jordan Lloyd prevailed on the season finale of the hit CBS reality series "Big Brother." Read on for the details! Jordan won the competition and the $500,000 grand prize after the show's seven-member jury, including viewer votes, awarded her more nods than challenger Natalie Martinez. Jordan opted to vie against Natalie for votes upon beating Kevin Campbell in the last phase of a three-stage Head of Household contest. When asked what she'll likely do with her half-a-million in winnings, Jordan said, "Put a down payment on a house for me, my mom and my brother." Natalie went home with a $50,000 runner-up prize. "Big Brother" will return for a twelfth season, which is scheduled to debut in the summer of 2010. The 'devil' Gets Her Due: Michele Leaves 'big Brother' House
Michele proved she was worthy of being called one of the "brains", but her mighty mind couldn't save her from being the latest person evicted from the "Big Brother" house! When Michele delivered her final plea to remain in the house before the final vote, she first placed a pair of red devil horns on her head -- explaining that the jury house already sees her as the devil because she's "burned" so many jury members. Now she tells "The Insider" about how those misconceptions played foul in her game. INSIDER: You were blamed for many things you didn't do; do you feel that hurt your game? MICHELE: Definitely. I think all of the negative things said about me seeped into people's brains and made them distrust me. INSIDER: Do you trust Natalie? Do you think she's an honest person? MICHELE: I do not trust her now and not since day one. INSIDER: Do you think Kevin and Natalie will stick to their alliance? MICHELE: I honestly think that they will and I will be seeing Jordan in the jury house after me INSIDER: At one point, Russell became upset with you and said some pretty hurtful things. Later, you decided to realign with him. What made you trust him again? MICHELE: At that point, I didn’t really have any other options. He was really my only hope because Jeff would always protect Jordan over me. INSIDER: What do you feel was your fatal mistake in this game? Would you have done anything different? MICHELE: I think trusting Jeff over Russell and not campaigning for Russell to stay was the beginning of my downfall. Making a deal with Kevin to keep Russell would be what I would have done differently. Top Five Shows To Watch This Week: 'melrose,' 'glee' & More
This week the top 5 shows you should be watching will possibly reveal what object was involved in a hit-and-run on 90210, who will compete for the $500,000 "Big Brother" Jeff Talks 'big Brother' Exit & Romance Rumors
He quickly became a fan favorite in the "Big Brother" house, now Jeff talks to "The Insider" about his feelings for Jordan -- and his biggest regret! INSIDER: How does it make you feel to know that America wanted you to go all the way for the win? JEFF: It makes me feel great! I didn’t realize until I got out of the house. I was overwhelmed by the response. I really appreciate it (thanks, America!). At least not winning, it’s awesome to know that people were on my side and that makes the pill easier to swallow. INSIDER: What’s up with you and Jordan? JEFF: It’s hard to develop a romantic relationship under those circumstances. The friendship that we have is definitely real, and the feelings I have on my end are definitely genuine. INSIDER: What is your honest opinion of Michele? JEFF: Michele was always a huge question mark to me, even to this day. I think her motives were real and heartfelt, but she’s the one person in the house that I could never truly figure out. INSIDER: After all of these weeks, why did you decide to trust Natalie and Kevin, two of the biggest schemers in the house? JEFF: It was either trust Natalie and Kevin, or Russell and Michele. Both sides were a big risk, in my eyes. Ultimately, I decided to take out the strongest player of the four, win Michele back on my side and take my chances (hoping I would have beaten Kevin and Natalie straight up). INSIDER: Any regrets? Do you think you could have done anything different to stay in the game? JEFF: No regrets. I put it all on my shoulders. I wish I would have won that last Power of Veto. If I had done so, I think I might have won the game. INSIDER: What’s the hardest part about being locked in the house? JEFF: The hardest part is, I think, the emotional roller coaster you go through on a daily basis. There’s a lot of down time and a lot of scheming going on every day. Having no connection to anything else but the game makes it that much more stressful. There are no breaks in the “BB” house![Read full story on The Insider]
Big Muscle Russell On 'big Brother' Eviction
He had the brawn, but Russell couldn't power through to win "Big Brother." Now the evicted housemate is telling ET about the blowups that got him booted. INSIDER: Do you really harbor bad feelings toward Jeff, who you called "an idiot," or do you feel he was just playing the game? RUSSELL: He played a great game and I have no hard feelings. INSIDER: Why did you give Jessie your vote -- especially after Jeff saved you and Jessie had no intention of keeping you that very same night? RUSSELL: I told Jessie that I would never vote to evict him. I was unsure if Michele would vote to keep him in the house and that would have been 3-2 vote in Jessie’s favor to stay. INSIDER: Were you just playing the game, like "Ronnie the rat" -- who told us that he's only a bad guy on TV? RUSSELL: It’s a character I chose to play in the game. I decided to be the villain. It was all just an act. INSIDER: Any regrets? Would you do anything differently? RUSSELL: I would have found the Laura Banana. I never want a banana again. INSIDER: You said you hoped Michele wins. Were you trying to comfort her or is she your pick to take it all? RUSSELL: I was just trying to comfort her and get her vote. "Big Brother" airs on CBS Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT, Thursdays & Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.[Read full story on The Insider]
'ronnie The Rat' Leaves Big Brother House
Ronnie quickly became one of the most controversial "Big Brother" houseguests this season, earning him the nickname "Ronnie the Rat." Last night's results show sent him packing; now "The Insider" interviews the evicted housemate, who says he only plays a bad guy on TV. THE INSIDER: What do you think of the housemates calling you "Ronnie the Rat"? RONNIE: I find it funny because I’m not really a rat, I just play one on TV. THE INSIDER: When I talked Casey, he said he felt you were just playing the game, and not really a "rat." Were you putting on an act? RONNIE: Yes, I was absolutely just playing a game by my own terms that included lying and manipulation. THE INSIDER: Any regrets? RONNIE: If I were to have one regret, I should have back-doored Russell when I had the chance. THE INSIDER: Did you feel that "brains," "athletes," and the rest were fair groupings? RONNIE: Absolutely, they were fair. Everyone in their own groups had their own strengths and weaknesses. THE INSIDER: Do you think you played a good game? RONNIE: I feel that up until week two I played a perfect game. After that, I feel I did the best damage control possible. THE INSIDER: Favorite housemate? Least favorite? RONNIE: Chima…she’s a true survivor. Russell I had time to think about it last night and he made more personal attacks against me which, as I said about Michele, is unacceptable. THE INSIDER: Who do you pick to win? RONNIE: I’d like Chima to win, but I think Jeff is going to win, I really do. "Big Brother" airs on CBS Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT, Thursdays & Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.[Read full story on The Insider]
Casey & His Banana Suit Leave Big Brother House
"The Insider" talks to Casey, the latest housemate evicted from the "Big Brother" house -- who says there's no way for Jessie to win and calls Ronnie "inhumane, over the top and diabolical." INSIDER: It seemed you were upset about leaving. Overall, was being in the house frustrating or fun? Casey: I would say a little bit of both. Frustrating outweighs the fun. I’m a guy who likes to have fun. But the generational gap was hard for me to overcome. INSIDER: Did you feel that "brains," "athletes," and the rest were fair groupings? Casey: Yes. I thought there was a fair mix of "talent" on each team. I was concerned that the very first challenge was geared toward those who are athletic. Them winning has dictated the way the rest of the season is going to be. Jessie being in the house as opposed to one of the other former house guests has an effect. INSIDER: Jessie seems to have the house under his control. Do you think he could win? Casey: I think Jessie could win because several other house guests have stars in their eyes. He’s obviously in great physical shape and will perform well in physical challenges. I don’t think he will win because the target on his back is just too big. I think he COULD win, but I don’t think he will win. INSIDER: Meanwhile, Ronnie has gone from lovable geek to "Big Brother" baddie in a short time! Do you think he's showing his true colors, or just playing the game? Casey: I think he’s just playing the game. That being said, I don’t agree with going back on your word as a man. I want to believe you can play the game with integrity and loyalty. His excuse that it’s just game play doesn’t make it ok. I also think he was inhumane in his treatment of other house guests. I think it was over the top and diabolical. INSIDER: Do you think the banana suit played a part in your eviction? It seemed to be a hot topic among the house guests -- even Julie Chen asked you about it! Casey: I do think the banana suit played a part, though I embraced it. It also wore on me having to wear it. I probably would have been in a better mood the last few days and been perceived as a more likable guy to keep around if I didn’t have to wear it. It was fun at first, but it just became humiliating and certainly hard to get people to take me seriously. People told me as much. I’d be talking to someone discussing strategy and 10 minutes into it, they’d laugh and say, "Dude, you’re in a banana suit. It’s hard to talk to you." INSIDER: Do you think you played a good game? Casey: No, I don’t think I played a good game. I’m good at a lot of stuff, but Big Brother is not one of them.[Read full story on The Insider]
Mira Sorvino Welcomes Baby Boy
Mira Sorvino is now a mom of three, and she's opening up about her third pregnancy, including plans to write a book about the experience! Mira and hubby Christopher Backus welcomed a baby boy on June 22 at 12:10 a.m., named Holden Paul Terry Backus. Mira says that her son's middle names are for both of his grandfathers. The baby boy, who weighed in at 8 lbs., 12 oz., was born following a pregnancy that involved life-threatening complications to mother and child, but a rep for Sorvino tells "The Insider" that the whole family is now healthy and happy at home. Holden joins big sister Mattea, 4, and big brother Johnny, 3. Mira tells "The Insider" that she developed severe complications during her pregnancy that included a condition called placenta previa, as well as a blood clot that could have led to a pulmonary embolism. Sorvino spent nine weeks in the hospital during her pregnancy, and tells "The Insider" that the separation from her two older children was difficult: "Prior to this hospital stay, I had only ever spent one night away from Johnny and Mattea." Happily, little Holden was delivered healthy following a long and intense labor that almost led to a c-section. "It was amazing," Mira says, "As soon as they placed him in my arms, I knew it had all been worth it. He is my miracle baby; with everything that threatened this pregnancy and both of our lives, he came out of it completely unscathed: perfectly healthy, beautiful and wonderful!" Mira says that her husband Chris was "her rock" during the experience, and that she "couldn't have done it without him." "Chris was a true hero while I was in the hospital, taking care of every aspect of our lives and attending to all of the kids' needs during a truly difficult time for all of us," Mira says of her husband. Mira says that Holden "seems like a very old soul" with a "darling personality." She says that her two older children love their new brother, and that they make up songs to sing to him. The happy parents say, "We are overjoyed to bring our beautiful healthy son home to his brother and sister. We are blessed to have a home filled with so much love." A book about the experience is in the works, and Mira says, "I find that putting pen to paper helps me remember more details about the experience and sort through my feelings and the way it has changed me, I believe, for the better."[Read full story on The Insider]
