Toni Collette is one of the most versatile and likable actresses working today, yet she does not carry a conceited celebrity attitude. “I’m an actor not a movie star,” she says. “I prefer it that way.” She’s also more radiant in her mid-30s than ever before. Toni Collette received worldwide recognition for her role as Haley Joel Osment’s mother in The Sixth Sense (1999). Her career has paired her with big-name actors like Samuel L. "United States of Tara" star Toni Collette took home her first Golden Globe on Sunday night and she spoke with "The Insider" backstage about the honor. Collette, who won the award for Best Actress in a TV Series, Comedy or Musical, told "The Insider"'s Lara Spencer and Niecy Nash that she could only spot her friend Cameron Diaz in red when she stepped up to accept her award. "[It looked like] a blur of brilliance, a blur of inspiration," she says of going before her peers. "It was quite a heavy moment." The Showtime actress also revealed what we can expect from her show in season two, disclosing, "They're a couple new characters/alters in season two, so more than last year."
