The ‘Desperate Housewives’ actress, famed for her super-slim figure, prefers to exercise outside so she doesn’t come in contact with other sweaty fitness fanatics and potentially infectious microbes.

She told Britain’s New magazine: “I can’t stand going to the gym. It’s too formatted and it freaks me out with all the germs. I hike outside. I lift weights in my house, just not at a gym. I just have dumbbells and I do little isometric resistance exercises.”

Teri, 42, also claims her daughter, Emerson, keeps her fit - because she is constantly chasing round after her.

She explained: “I run around after my daughter a lot. I’m teaching her to play soccer at the moment.”  (Bang!
