Was raised by a single mother. Tammy developed a passion for acting in high school, and after graduating, she moved to New York to pursue it. While working at a restaraunt, a talent scout spotted her. After moving to LA, she landed the role on Popular, within a week.



Graduated from Jefferson High School. In April 2006, she and her ex-partner Melissa Etheridge announced that Michaels was pregnant with twins via an anonymous sperm donor. She gave birth to son Miller Steven and daughter Johnnie Rose on October 17th, 2006. Tammy and Melissa Etheridge separated [April 15, 2010].
