Was raised by a single mother. Tammy developed a passion for acting in high school, and after graduating, she moved to New York to pursue it. While working at a restaraunt, a talent scout spotted her. After moving to LA, she landed the role on Popular, within a week.
Graduated from Jefferson High School. Has one older sister. [April 2006] Pregnant with twins, due in the fall. Announced the twins she and partner Melissa Etheridge are expecting are a boy and a girl. Daughter, Johnnie Rose, and son, Miller Steven, born 17 October 2006.
