She began acting in high school, but thought it would be too daunting to pursue as a career. While studying anthropology during her first year of college, an agent saw her performing in a local stage production of "Agnes of God" and encouraged her to try her luck in Los Angeles, California. She made her screen acting debut as a guest star on "7th Heaven" (1996) She was a regular in ABC's "Nothing Sacred" (1997) as Rachel, a Catholic who has a controversial abortion. She also guest-starred on "Boy Meets World" (1993) and the WB's comedy series "Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane" (1999). Among her feature film credits are She's All That (1999) Carlo's Wake (1999), and the thriller Spanish Judges (1999).
