Weir became an official MadTv cast member on 2001, after spending 2000 as a recurring one. She attended Odessa Junior College where she mastered in theatre and broadcasting. Stephnie then commenced studying at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, where anthropology and women's studies were her preference. Stephnie Weir, teamed up with her husband Robert Dassie, and created a two person show titled "WeirDass," and they performed at the Improv Olympic's 20th annversary, along with other minor performances in Chicago, New York, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Some of Weir's other improv credits include performing on the Second City's main stage, and the Goodman Theatre.
