Born Greensboro, North Carolina. Graduated summa cum laude Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. Extensive theatre work in Chicago including world premiere of "Picasso at the Lapin Agile" by Steve Martin. Received Joseph Jefferson Award for her role as Gladys Bump in "Pal Joey" at the Goodman Theatre.



Has taught text discovery/scene study at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois and workshops in Chicago for several theater companies. She was nominated for a 1986 Joseph Jefferson Award for Actress in a Principal Role in a Musical for "Baby" at the Marriott Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. She was nominated for a 1988 Joseph Jefferson Award for Actress in a Principal Role in a Musical for "My Fair Lady" at the Marriott Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. She was nominated for a 1991 Joseph Jefferson Award for Actress in a Principal Role in a Musical for "Sweet Charity" at the Marriott Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. She was nominated for a 1998 Joseph Jefferson Award for Actress in a Principal Role in a Play for "Private Lives" at the Writers Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. She was nominated for a 2008 Joseph Jefferson Award for Actress in a Principal Role in a Play for "The Lion in Winter" at the Writers Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.
