Born in Oklahoma and raised in Litchfield Park, Arizona. Briefly attended both Northern Arizona University and New York University. Has a 20-year-old daughter, Charlee, from her first marriage. Started using her middle name about 1987. Sang with a band in L.A.; has recorded a blues album. Original character of "Erica" in Eric Bogosian's play, SubUrbia. Currently working as a radio deejay in upstate New York.



Mary Stuart Masterson's character in Some Kind of Wonderful (1987) was based in part on Renee's character in Weird Science (1985).
