She sang and played keyboards in the oddball alternative band (signed to Jello Biafra's 'Alternative Tenticles' record label) until the band broke up in the summer of 2001. Was in a band for nearly 6 years with her older brother, the late River Phoenix, called 'Aleka's Attic' until the band broke up following River's death in late October 1993. Only two songs by the band have ever been officially released (both on charity compilation albums.)
