Tom Cruise is to return to The Oprah Winfrey Show, three years after he famously jumped up and down on the talk-show host's sofa. The 45-year-old will feature in two shows to mark the 25th anniversary of his 1983 film Risky Business. Cruise became the butt of jokes after the 2005 incident, where he declared his love for his new girlfriend Katie Holmes, who is now his wife. The pair had a daughter in April 2006 and were married later that November. For the TV special, friends and colleagues will surprise Cruise with taped messages honouring his work in movies, according to a statement from Harpo Productions. Winfrey will interview Cruise from his home for the first show on 2 May, which will cover his "family, his life and the future", Harpo said. Then on 5 May, the Top Gun and Mission: Impossible actor will appear in Winfrey's Chicago studio.
