Just weeks before Jay Leno is scheduled to return to "The Tonight Show," the comedian appeared in a Super Bowl commercial with his late night rival David Letterman and fellow talk show host Oprah Winfrey. "This is the worst Super Bowl party ever," Letterman exclaims as the camera pans to reveal that he is seated on a couch with Winfrey and Leno. "He's just saying that cause I'm here," Leno bites back. "Late Show" executive producer Rob Burnett told the New York Times that the idea to film a Super Bowl party with Winfrey sitting between the late night rivals was Letterman's idea. "Dave wrote the bit himself," Burnett disclosed. "He just thought: it's the Super Bowl, you're supposed to entertain people." Nearly a week after Conan O'Brien signed off from "The Tonight Show," Jay Leno sits down with Oprah Winfrey to give his side of the story about what went on between him, O'Brien and NBC. Leno recalls to Oprah that in 2004 he was asked to relinquish his job as "Tonight Show" host over to O'Brien in order to prevent him from going to another network. At the time, Leno was No. 1 in his time slot. He says of the decision, "It broke my heart. ... I was devastated." Years later, Leno is returning as the host of the program after his show was canceled and O'Brien stepped down when asked to do the show at 12:05 a.m. Since the news broke, the public has been less than supportive of Leno, accusing him of stealing the show from O'Brien instead of simply retiring. "You have to look for a bad guy," his says of the public uproar. "This wasn't my decision. ... Anything [NBC] did would've been better than this. ... From 2004 onward, this whole thing was a huge mess." He says he thought he was doing the right thing in staying on with the network. "To me, being retired seemed like the selfish thing to do," he says of keeping his staff and returning as the "Tonight Show" host. "I think I'm a good guy. ... I fight for the people who work here." As for O'Brien, he refers to him as a "good performer" and a "good guy," telling Oprah, "I felt really bad for Conan. I thought it was unfair." Leno says he does not take responsibility for how everything turned out for the TV franchise. "I wasn't the reason. The reason was the ratings." The talk show host returns to "The Tonight Show" March 1.

Rosie O'Donnell tells Oprah Winfrey about her tenure at "The View," and that she and her ex remain "co-parents" to their children. Of her famous on-air spat with Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Rosie says she was angered because her co-host acted "different on TV than in the dressing room." Their face-off hurt her feelings, because she says, "It was a betrayal of my friendship." While she stands by her decision to leave the show, she says she regrets what happened backstage with Barbara Walters during a heated exchange afterward. Rosie regrets the backstage blowup. "I think I scared her," Rosie says. "I'm 200 pounds, when I stand up and say 'do you not have a human heart?' it's crazy." In another revealing conversation on today's "Oprah," Rosie says lesbian break-ups are different than their heterosexual counterparts because women "stay connected." On her split with wife Kelli Carpenter, she says, "I think that what you want at 30 ... is very different than what you want when you're 40. A lot of things sort of changed and shifted." Rosie added that her children have helped her through the separation, especially her eldest. "He's like my little yoda," she says of son Parker, now 14. Now she's found a new love in Tracy Kachtick-Anders, who has six children of her own. "I felt like I knew her right away," Rosie says of her new partner. She also says they plan to move in together in the near future and combine their families.

Oprah Winfrey is the subject of a new, unauthorized biography by famed writer Kitty Kelley. Kitty, well known for her portrayals of famous figures in her many books, from the Bush family and Nancy Reagan to Frank Sinatra and Elizabeth Taylor, spent three years researching her material. The book promises to pull back the curtain on one of the most powerful figures on TV. The author conducted 850 interviews with numerous Oprah sources, many of whom have never before spoken to the press. "We are excited to be publishing the first comprehensive biography of one of the most influential, powerful, and admired public figures of our time, by the most widely read biographer of our era,” says Tina Constable, Vice President, Publisher, Crown Publishers. "Anyone who is a fan of Oprah Winfrey or who has followed her extraordinary life and career will be fascinated and newly informed by the closely observed, detailed, and well-rounded portrait of her provided by Kitty Kelley’s exhaustively researched book. Readers will come away with a greater appreciation of who Oprah really is beyond her public persona and a fuller understanding of her important place in American cultural history." Oprah: A Biography is set to be released April 13, 2010.

In her first interview with Oprah Winfrey, former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol opened up about her decision to wait until she's married to have sex. "I think it's a goal to have and other women should have that goal," Bristol said. "It’s a realistic goal for myself." Sarah has faith that Bristol, who is the mother to a 13-month-old son, can fulfill that vow. "I believe her," she says. "She’s a strong independent woman who can do this. She's committed to this. " But Bristol admits being a single mother is no walk in the park, describing the day she broke down in tears when her son Tripp wouldn't stop crying. "I have this big supportive family, but I felt so alone," she tells Oprah of that day. "Reality sunk in, that I have a kid, this is my life, my full-time job." Meanwhile, Sarah also spoke about her new TV gig for FOX news, not denying she might throw her hat back in the political race. "I’m not closing any door that may be I find opened in the future," she says. "Thankfully FOX has allowed me to leave that door open."

"It's astounding. It's very humbling. ... I'm glad they're pleased with the result," she says of her album sales. "Dreams can come true." A glamorous Boyle tells Oprah that she likes her more feminine look, referring to her makeover as polished and professional. "It's nice to be confident." Boyle appears on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" along with "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert on Tuesday, January 19.
