Liam Neeson On Ted Kennedy & Life After Natasha
Liam Neeson talked about his relationship with the late Senator Ted Kennedy -- and how his family is dealing with the loss of his wife Natasha Richardson. Speaking to Diane Sawyer on "Good Morning America," the critically acclaimed actor says the Kennedy clan had an influence in his life early on. "I have a very clear memory of being a 10-year-old boy and being taken to the ancestral Kennedy home in Ireland," he says, adding that they posed for a photograph under an American and Irish flag. "I also met him a couple times over the years," he says, adding that Kennedy wrote a "very, very beautiful, touching condolence letter when Natasha died earlier this year. He was a special man. It’s the end of an era, I’m sure." Liam agreed with Diane in that the Kennedy family was "very influential" as they worked diligently to help end the violence in Northern Ireland -- a situation that is reflected in his new film 'Five Minutes of Heaven.' The movie details the true story of a man who is haunted by a murder he committed in his teens. "One act of violence can absolutely demolish a family," he says of the film. As to how his own family is dealing with the loss of Natasha, "We’re doing good," he says. "To be honest, we’re taking each day as it comes. I’m still getting extraordinary condolence letters from American people. It’s deeply, deeply touching." In fact, Liam says the outpouring of emotion is one of the reasons he recently became a US citizen. “I’ve been living here for 20 years and America has been very good to me," he says. "I’m still an Irishman but I’ve become an American citizen. I’m very proud of that."[Read full story on The Insider]

Natasha Richardson 911 Calls Revealed
A Canadian newspaper is detailing emergency calls made attempting to save actress Natasha Richardson's life. Canada's Globe and Mail newspaper has obtained 911 calls made regarding Richardson's fall earlier this month on the slopes of a Quebec ski resort. According to the newspaper, a medic in an ambulance with Richardson told staff waiting at a Canadian hospital: "I'm arriving with a female in her 40s … [she's] disoriented … It's following … a ski fall that happened at noon. Soon afterward she presents signs of confusion, a concussion." According to the Globe and Mail, paramedics first arrived at the ski resort where Richardson had fallen at 1 p.m. At 1:11 p.m. the medics reported that Richardson had declined treatment. She walked back to her room with her ski instructor, where she later began experiencing a severe headache and 911 was called again later that afternoon at 2:59 p.m. While Richardson was en route to the hospital, the Globe and Mail reports that just before 4 p.m. she was "verbal" according to paramedics. At the time she registered a 12 of 15 on the Glasgow coma scale, which is not ideal but still treatable, according to the newspaper. However, she only scored a 0 on an orientation reading, meaning that she was unaware of the date, where she was, or what had happened. After arriving at the local hospital, Richardson was taken to a Montreal trauma center, arriving at 6:38 p.m. The renowned stage and screen actress would pass away two days later after being taken home to New York.[Read full story on The Insider]
