To date, she is best known to American audiences for her role as Tia Dalma in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006) and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007).
Trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
Mother is Lisselle Kayla, who came to England from Jamaica at the age of five.
