Nancy's uncle was John "Red" Morgan who won the Congressional Medal of Honor for heroism as a WWII bomber pilot. The event was later fictionalized in the movie Twelve O'Clock High (1949). Son Tyler graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, Class of 2007. Former husband John Ritter was the son of the late Tex Ritter and Tex's one-time leading lady, 'Dorothy Fay'.
