Though she’s recently started taking on roles of a distinctly authoritarian nature, Ming-Na’s sultriness has been apparent from the early days of her career. One of her first major roles was in 1997’s One Night Stand, in which she played the hot-to-trot wife of Wesley Snipes’ character. Her indelible performance remains seared in our consciousness, and it’s consequently difficult to even look at Ming-Na without recalling that brave performance. Following a breakout role in 1993’s The Joy Luck Club, Ming-Na has appeared in a host of mainstream projects from TV shows like ER and Vanished, to movies such as One Night Stand (1997) and Mulan (1998), to the video game Kingdom Hearts II.
She was one of the very first Chinese American actresses to have a contract role on the TV series As the World Turns. Graduated from Carnegie Mellon University. Graduated from Mt.
