Meredith Monroe was born in Houston, Texas, and raised in Hinsdale, Illinois. Having appeared in many advertising campaigns (such as the book covers in the 'Hardy Boys' series), she made her first appearance on an advertisement for Tylenol Sinus in 1996. This minor role was followed by more significant appearances. Her appearance as Tracey Daiken on ABC's Dangerous Minds secured her first appearance in a televsion series. Her exposure resulted in her landing the part of Laura Elizabeth Ingalls Wilder in _Beyond The Prarie: The True Story of Laura Ingalls Wilder (2002) (TV)_ . Alhough the completed project was not released until 2002, Meredith was not absent from television screens for long, playing the part of troubled teenager Andie McPhee in 1998 on the WB's Dawson's Creek for three seasons (Episodes 201 to 407). Alhough Meredith left the show in 2000 when her character left to spend a year in Italy before attending Harvard University on early acceptance; her character was so well received that she returned later in the season to film the graduation episode (Episode 422). Since her departure, Meredith has enjoyed success in film (ABC'S The One and a small appearance in Minority Report), and has now landed a major part in ABC's TV series, _"Back to Kansas" (2003)_ , where she co-stars with 'Road Trip' star, Breckin Meyer.
Is an Alpha Chi Omega sister. Filmed three scenes reprising her role as Andie McPhee, for the two hour series finale of Dawson's Creek (Episodes 623 and 624), but her scenes were cut due to time restraints. Her character on "Dawson's Creek," Andie McPhee, left for Italy in Season Four (Episode 407) in November 2000. But her name remained in the opening credits for the remainder of the season even though she no longer appeared. But her character of Andie returned in May 2001 for the graduation episode (Episode 422) which was her last appearance in the series until the series final two years later. Meredith's deleted scenes from the series finale of 'Dawson's Creek' (Episode 623 - "All Good Things ..." and Episode 624 - "...Must Come To An End") are included on the 2003 DVD release which features the Director's extended cut. Sister-in-law of Andrew Kavovit Was replaced by Kiele Sanchez in the role of Susan Kelly before the series "Married to the Kellys" (formerly "Back to Kansas") first aired.
