Hailing from Miami, Florida, Mercedes Renard is a gifted young actress who made her big screen debut with roles in two feature films released in 2005.

The first, an independent, sci-fi thriller titled Headspace, featured Renard in the role of reporter Connie Sanchez. In the second, she shared screen time with Will Smith and Eva Mendes in the Andy Tennant directed romantic comedy Hitch, in which she plays the role of Maria, Sara's (Mendes') sister.

Other credits include various television appearances, most notably the WB's Dawson's Creek.
