Raised in San Antonio and the outskirts, from the time she could walk and talk, Melody was a natural performer. She has been in plays and competitions all throughout her years in school and decided to seek representation at the age of 33. It was on her way home from work one day, that she walked into a well known agency in Austin, Tx. They were impressed by her tenacity, charm and personality and they signed her that day.

Since then, she's played a wide range of roles in commercials and several feature films- from the faithful wife and mother featured in "Oil Storm" and "A Scanner Darkly", to a biker babe with the Bandido motorcycle gang in her most recent film, "Texas Chainsaw - The Beginning". She resides between Austin and San Antonio and continues to book work.

"Oil Storm" aired on FX, June 5, 2005. When hurricane Katrina occurred only weeks later, she felt quite uneasy with the correlation. As a result, Melody has become active with ASPO-USA (Association for the Study of Peak Oil and Gas) and has spoken publicly regarding issues surrounding Peak Oil.
