Marisol Nichols' distinguished credits demonstrate her versatility both in film and television. She has quickly become one of the most sought after actresses in Hollywood, working with some of the most prominent actors and directors in the business. The recipient of a Golden Eagle Award for Most promising Actor or Actress, Nichols also earned an ALMA nomination for Outstanding Actress for her starring role in The Princess & the Marine.

On the small screen, Nichols can be seen starring in ABC's innovative new legal drama In Justice. Nichols has been receiving critical acclaim for her role as a passionate lawyer, Sonya Quintano, who is fighting for the wrongly accused. Nichols other television credits include her role as the female lead in Stephen Bochco's cop drama, Blind Justice, for ABC. Nichols received critical acclaim for her role as Ron Eldard's hardened partner, Karen Bettancourt. She also played Victoria Santiago on Showtime's critically acclaimed series Resurrection Blvd. as well as numerous guest appearance on hit series including Friends, Alias, Nip/Tuck, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, ER and Cold Case. She has appeared in three television movies including NBC's Homeland Security, The Princess & the Barrio Boy for Showtime and The Princess & the Marine in which Nichols portrayed Princess Meriam Al-Kalifa, who fled her own country for love.

Nichols is currently starring in Big Momma's House 2 opposite Martin Lawrence. The film is being released by 20th Century Fox and is currently in theaters. Her film credits include portraying Audrey Griswold opposite Chevy Chase in Vegas Vacation, Bowfinger, Disney's Mafia, Can't Hardly Wait and Scream 2.



Attended College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn in early 1990s. Went to Naperville North High School in Naperville, Illinois. Won the prestigious National Speech and Theater Championship Award for 2 years while at College of DuPage. Received the distinguished Golden Eagle Award for the most promising actress in 2001. Is a volunteer supervisor and spokesperson for Criminon, an international, non-profit organization which addresses the cause of criminality and seeks to rehabilitate inmates. Is of Romanian-Hungarian descent on her father's side and of Mexican descent on her mother's side. She never met her father. Named "The Bombshell" of 2007 by Vibe Magazine, as part of their Hot 100. Daughter Rain India Lexton was born 30 September 2008.
