Raised in Ketchum, Idaho; Los Angeles, Calif.; and New York City. Her first role was together with her sister Margaux in the movie Lipstick (1976), for which she was nominated as "Best Newcomer" for the Golden Globe Awards. Granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway and Elizabeth Hadley Richardson. Younger sister of Margaux Hemingway, born in 1955, and Joan Hemingway ("Muffet"), born in 1950. Named after a Cuban fishing village that was a favorite of her father and grandfather. Is portrayed by Chandra West in Love and Betrayal: The Mia Farrow Story (1995) (TV) Daughter of Jack Hemingway and Byra Louise Whittlesey ("Puck"). Was the runner-up to Jodie Foster for the part of Iris Steensma in Martin Scorsese's Taxi Driver (1976). Turned down the lead role in Splash (1984), which went to Daryl Hannah.
