Leighton Meester's mother has dropped her lawsuit against the 'Gossip Girl' actress.

Constance Meester had claimed the pair had an oral contract guaranteeing Leighton would pay her $10,000 a month after the 'Gossip Girl' star filed papers in July claiming the $7,500 she sent home each month to help care for her younger brother was misused by her mother for personal reasons such as cosmetic surgeries.

According to the countersuit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, at 2:00 AM on December 11, 2010, the "Gossip Girl" actress attacked her mom with the bottle and was so crazed she had to be pulled off her mom by her little brother.

Constance Meester says it's true ... Leighton sent her $7,500 every month, but that was not out of the goodness of her heart.  It was -- Constance claims --  a settlement for all the money she helped make for her daughter.

The 'Gossip Girl' star has reportedly initiated a lawsuit against her mum Constance Meester for using cash she had sent to her younger brother and sister for plastic surgery, hair extensions and Botox injections.
Leighton Meester is suing her mother over allegations she misused a monthly allowance the Gossip Girl star set aside for her little brother.

According to the suit ... obtained by TMZ ... Leighton's mom refused to work, but Leighton felt badly for her younger brother Lex, who has severe medical issues.  So Leighton sent her mom $7,500 a month so she could provide for Lex.

But the suit claims the mother, Constance Meester, used the money for cosmetic procedures and other personal expenses.

According to the suit, Constance even tried to convince Leighton ... they had an oral contract requiring Leighton to pay her $10,000 a month for life.  Leighton says it's a total lie. 

Leighton claims her mom threatened to file a $3 million lawsuit against her unless Leighton started coughing up the dough.

Leighton wants the judge to declare there's no contract between her and her mom.
