Lauren Conrad launched her own fashion line and admits that maintaining a design career is proving to be an extreme challenge. She told the Wall Street Journal:

"I'm sure a lot of people don't take me seriously. I spend the most amount of time on the line, and it's the thing that makes me the least amount of money."

Poor Lauren wasn't helped at all by MTV to promote her line so she relied on paparazzi to stir up press. A reporter wrote that Conrad chose to eat outside a restaurant because she'd be in better view of paparazzi.

I guess she was desperate enough.  It's surprising that we didn't hear she tried to sleep with anyone to help promote her line too. Maybe that's her plan for next time.
