Jenny Craig is responding to "The Insider" after photos surfaced of a visibly heavier Kirstie Alley appearing to be battling the bulge once more. Kirstie, a former spokesperson for Jenny Craig, slimmed down to a svelte shape while on the program, even appearing in a bikini on Oprah in 2006. However, Kirstie and Jenny Craig parted ways over a year ago, and Kirstie was recently snapped looking like she had put some of the weight back on. A rep for Jenny Craig tells "The Insider," "Jenny Craig maintains a friendly relationship with Kirstie and we are proud of her accomplishments while she was on our program. Kirstie successfully lost 75 lbs and maintained that weight loss throughout our three year relationship, which came to an end in December 2007. We remain supportive of Kirstie, wish her nothing but the best and we would welcome her back at any time as a returning client."

Actress Kirstie Alley has signed a deal with superstar talk show host Oprah Winfrey's media empire to develop a series of TV projects - and may even star in her own daily program.


Kirstie Alley has signed a deal with Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Productions to develop television projects - which could include her own daily show.

"Kirstie is a tremendous talent who is incredibly relatable and a true fan favorite," said Tim Bennett, president of Harpo Productions.

The actress, 57, recently stepped away from her role as an official spokeswoman for Jenny Craig, and announced plans to launch her own weigh-loss brand.

Alley, who notably modeled a bikini The Oprah Winfrey Show after losing 75 lbs., said she hopes her willingness to be honest and open will come together to help her "offer something totally fresh for the television audience."

The Emmy Award-winning actress, who served as the spokesmodel for the Jenny Craig Weight Loss program for the past three years, will not grace the program's ads anymore. However, she will still continue its maintenance course, People magazine reports.

"Although Kirstie will not appear in future advertising endeavors for us, she does remain on Jenny Craig's maintenance program and is confident that our program has helped her incorporate positive lifestyle changes that should last a lifetime," Jenny Craig's VP for marketing, Scott Parker, says.
