Kelly Rowan BiographyKelly Rowan is most remembered for her starring role opposite Samuel L. Jackson in the Warner Bros. Mel Gibson produced thriller "187." Kelly is rare talent who seems to move effortlessly from the big screen to the small screen. Other film credits include "Assassins" with Sylvester Stallone and Antonio Banderas and "Hook" with Dustin Hoffman and Robin Williams. Most recently, Rowan wrapped the independent film "Mt. Pleasant."
Kelly has also made an impact in the television arena. Currently, Kelly is starring opposite Peter Gallagher in the smash hit series "The O.C." for which she won a 2006 Prism Award for her performance dealing with her characters substance abuse. Recently she appeared in the first season of "Boomtown" in addition to staring in the miniseries "It's A Girl Thing" for Showtime and the award-winning "Anya's Bell" for CBS.
When not on-screen, Kelly is also an active producer overseeing several motion pictures projects in development in the United States and Canada. Most recently, she produced and starred in "Eight Days to Live" for Lifetime Television and CTV and is filming her second production for both networks entitled "In God's Country" in which Rowan also serves as an Executive Producer.
Kelly won critical acclaim and the prestigious Gemini Award for "Best Actress in a Movie of the Week / Mini-Series" for her heart-stopping performance in the CBS movie "Adrift."
Kelly has studied theater as such noted schools as the British American Drama Academy and the Neighborhood Playhouse.
She currently resides in Los Angeles.
