The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation Awards (GLAAD) took place this weekend and comedian Kathy Griffin used the platform to show off her bikini bod. Comedienne KATHY GRIFFIN is set for a career boost after the success of her hit U.S show LIFE ON THE D-LIST reportedly led to a flood of TV offers.According to the New York Post, the star will announce the next step in her career after Sunday’s (21Sep08) 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.A source tells the
Kathy Griffin has picked up her second Emmy at the Creative Arts Primetime Emmys for her hit Bravo show "My Life On the D-List."   The actress/comedian was handed the trophy for best reality program during the ceremony Saturday night in Los Angeles. The Creative Arts Emmys recognizes technical and other achievements in advance of next Sunday's main ceremony. Griffin was also nominated for a stand up comedy special but she lost to Don Rickles, with whom she will present an award at the Primetime Emmys. Cynthia Nixon, who gained fame and an Emmy with "Sex and the City," added her second trophy as well for a guest role on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." Other acting honors went to Glynn Turman, named best guest actor in a drama for "In Treatment," Kathryn Joosten, best guest actress in a comedy for "Desperate Housewives," and Tim Conway, for best guest actor in a comedy for "30 Rock." Valerie Bertinelli, Tom Hanks, Jennifer Beals, Bryan Cranston, Jon Cryer, Joe Mantegna, Masi Oka, Lee Pace and Sarah Silverman were just a few of the stars who joined this year's hosts - "How I Met Your Mother"'s Neil Patrick Harris and "Scrubs" star Sarah Chalke - to honor the oh-so-important behind-the-scenes TV makers.
