Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl, aka Dr. Isobel “Izzie” Stevens plays with her newest toy — Apple’s iPhone — on the NYC set of her new romantic comedy 27 Dresses.

Heigl, 28, was spotted on Monday doing a multitude of things in Central Park during her film breaks — knitting, yawning, smoking, fiddling with her iPhone, playing with a dog, sipping a Diet Coke, talking on the phone, and laughing her socks off with co-star Malin Akerman.

27 Dresses tells the story of a young woman (Heigl) who, after serving as a bridesmaid 27 times, wrestles with the idea of standing by her sister’s side as her sibling marries the man she’s secretly in love with.  The film co-stars James Marsden and Edward Burns and is set for a January 11, 2008 release.
