PRIVATE PRACTICE star KATE WALSH has filed legal papers in a bid to stop a court awarding her estranged husband alimony payments in their ongoing divorce battle.The actress wed Alex Young in September 2007 after a brief engagement, but they announced their marriage was over in December (08).Young filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences, while
"Private Practice" star Kate Walsh filed amended divorce papers on Monday in response to the divorce petition filed last December by her estranged husband Alex Young. "The Insider" has the details. In the court papers obtained by "The Insider," Walsh declares the couple's date of separation to be November 17, 2008. The actress is also asking to terminate the court's ability to award spousal support to Young. As for the reason for their split, Walsh lists "irreconcilable differences" as the cause. Young filed for divorce late last year, and a rep for the pair told "The Insider," "Papers have been filed to amicably end the marriage of executive Alex Young and actress Kate Walsh. The couple remain on friendly terms and sincerely hope the media will respect their privacy during this difficult time." In the divorce papers filed by Young, the date of separation is listed as November 22, 2008 -- five days later than the date Walsh listed in her response. Walsh and Young wed in September of 2007.
