Received the 2001 Fred Astaire Award for Best Female Dancer for her performance as Peggy Sawyer in the Broadway show "42nd Street." She also got a Tony nomination and a nomination for Outer Critics Circle Award for it. For Therese Raquin in "Thou Shalt Not" she was nominated for the 2002 Fred Astaire Award.
Actress Meredith Patterson understudied Kate in the musical 42nd ST on Broadway (2001). Meredith took over the role 3 months after opening in August 2001, then Kate ended up replacing Meredith in August 2002.
