The photos, showing the star of The Ghost Whisperer relaxing on a beach with her partner Ross McCall, have been ridiculed by internet posters. An angry Hewitt, who became famous after starring in the horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer, defended herself on her website. "I've sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women's bodies are constantly scrutinised," she said. "To set the record straight, I'm not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image. "Like all women out there should, I love my body.
