Daughter of Rosemary Harris and John Ehle.
Last name is pronounced "EE-lee."
When casting for his film Sunshine (1999), director István Szabó didn't know she was Rosemary Harris' daughter in real life.
Had a relationship with Colin Firth whom she met while filming "Pride and Prejudice" (1995).
Has a son, George, and a daughter, Talulah, with Michael Ryan.
In 1992 she won the Radio Times Awards for Best Newcomer for "The Cammomile Lawn" (1992).
In 2000 she won the the Theatre World Award Best Actress in for The Real Thing.
2007: nominated Best Leading Actress in a Play at the Outer Critics Circle for The Coast of Utopia.
Has won two Tony Awards: Best Actress in a Play in 2000 for "The Real Thing" and Best Featured Actress in a Play in 2007 for "The Coast of Utopia". Both of these plays were written by Tom Stoppard.
