I've tried to find details of Gerald Scarfe's "first marriage" - who to and when?
All I can find is the birth of a son in 1966 (featured in Time Life 1969) and another child (a girl) to another mother a couple of years later.
Can someone enlighten me?
I can enlighten you. There was no 'first marriage' - only Jane Asher has been married to Gerald Scarfe.
Gerald Scarfe was married and has a daughter Araminta who is sometimes pictured in stepmoms cake and costume books. He had just recently divorced when he and Jane Asher met at a Private Eye party.
Sorry, you are so wrong. Gerald Scarfe was neither married nor divorced before he met Jane Asher.
He had two previous relationships - one long one produced a son, the second produced Araminta.
These biographical notes really should be truthful.
What jss has said on this site is quite true. Gerald had a son with maureen and out of wedlock. I know maureen well and can verify that Gerald and Maureen had a son. This fact is true. He also had a daughter with someone else. Then he married Jane Asher. With two children to his track record.
