Her mother, Maxine, is a secretary in Montreal and a fantastic cook. Her father, John Paul Sr., is a meat salesman and a sales & marketing executive in Canada. She has a twin sister, Jill Hennessy, who is an actress, and a younger brother, John Paul Jr. She and husband Terry Moore welcomed the arrival of their first child, Mia Katherine Hennessy Moore, she weighed 8 pounds 11 ounces [5 February 2004] She and Jill played twin sisters on Dead Ringers (1988). Once substituted for her sister as Claire Kincaid on "Law & Order" (1990) when Jill was out of town filming an "L&O" crossover episode for "Homicide: Life on the Street" (1993). The two are so identical, viewers didn't notice the switch. Has a Master of Arts degree in French Literature. Used to perform, with her twin sister Jill Hennessy, in an act named (what else?) 'Jack and Jill".
