Biggest role model is Max von Sydow. Speaks fluent English. 1999: Named as one of European films 'Shooting Stars' by European Film Promotion. Has a son named William from marriage to Emil de Waal. She did not like to shoot with the rifle she had to use for some scenes in Defiance (2008/I). In the Danish dubbed versions, she did both voice 'Angie' in Shark Tale (2004) and 'Vanessa Bloome' in Bee Movie (2007). Both roles where voiced by Renée Zellweger in the original English version. Had filmed several scenes for Den eneste ene (1999), but neither of them did feature in the final movie. Her role in Flugten (2009) was so physically demanding, that she chose to get her own personal trainer to get in shape for the role. Was originally cast as the German woman Birgit in the Oscar winning The Constant Gardener (2005) and was signed on. When the film's German financiers discovered that a Dane had been cast as a German, they made sure a German actress, Anneke Kim Sarnau, was cast instead.
