Graduated From Booker T. Washington High school in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1982.

During the mid-1980s, she and Shelley Fabares teamed up in a "Murder, She Wrote" (1984)-style pilot for a television series, Suburban Beat (1985) (TV). They were cast as housewives who solved mysteries.

Langenkamp's voice appears three times in the song "Are You Ready For Freddy" by The Fat Boys, which plays at the end of A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988). In the full version of the song, you can hear her say, "Don't Fall Asleep," very faintly right before the first chorus. The other two lines in the song are "Fred Krueger, Mom. Fred Krueger." and "He's burned, and he wears a weird hat, and a red and green sweater really dirty.".

Charlie Sheen was the best man at her wedding to Anderson, Sheen's friend from high school.

Is an avid photographer.

Has two kids from her marriage to special effects make-up artist David Anderson: son David Atticus Anderson (born 24 May 1991) and daughter Isabelle Eve Anderson (born 24 December 1994).

Resembles Nancy Kerrigan and even played her in Tonya & Nancy: The Inside Story (1994) (TV)

Was set to star in Cursed (2005) but along with a few other actors, when the movie was being re-shot and re-written, some of the actors including herself couldn't return to re-shoot their scenes. Heather herself was pressed for time, and couldn't return to do her scenes all over again.
