Was a figure skating competitor and won several trophies when she was younger. Earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology (with a concentration on "Media Representation of Minorities") from UC-Berkeley, where she minored in Theater. She went on to earn a Master's degree from Sarah Lawrence College. Voulunteers with the Pediatric AIDS Foundation and AIDS Project Los Angeles. She is a classically trained dancer, both studying and teaching ballet, jazz and modern dance. Expecting her first child with boyfriend D.B. Woodside. The baby is due in September 2009.
