Died of a rare bacterial infection of the heart. Her heartbroken father, Leonard, died six months later.
Italian-American actress remembered for her work in the Martin Scorsese's film Goodfellas (1990), in which she played Ray Liotta's mistress. She originally appeared in The Color of Money (1986) playing pool hustler Tom Cruise's girlfriend but her lack of acting experience caused her to be replaced by Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio after three weeks of shooting. Later played a noticeable role in Spike Lee's Jungle Fever (1991).
