In 2000 she boasted that although she could not button up the pink shorts with the 21 inch waist band worn in Rear Window but she could still get them on.
When she met Alfred Hitchcock she had no idea who he was. He suggested that she get an agent. She did not and consequently only got paid $350.00 for Rear Window.
Mother initially wanted her to become a stripper; she chose ballet instead.
Brooklyn-born ballerina, sometime actress and minor pin-up queen best remembered being spied upon by Jimmy Stewart as "Miss Torso" in the classic Hitchcock chiller "Rear Window."
