Graduated from Windsor Secondary School in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Yip's skills include stunt and wire work, martial arts for the screen, firearm etiquette, squib, dancing, piano, skiing, ice skating, roller blading, swimming and golf. She speaks English, French and basic Cantonese.
She once hosted a sports program on television in Canada.
She trained with stuntman Bruce Fontaine's regular Wushu classes.
She was once considered to play a role in The Matrix Reloaded (2003).
