When The Burning Bed came out I was in a very abusive marriage. Farrah's portrayal of a battered woman was my first step to awareness that I needed to and could get out of it. Thanks to her work, I did get out after 1 and a 1/2 years.  I have now been happily married to a wonderful, gentle man for 22 years and we have 2 beautiful boys.  I hope this message gets to Farrah , I would really like her to know that her work made a huge difference in my life. Thank you Farrah!
