Studied Writing and European History at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY.
She was born in Germany, but her parents moved back to New York before she turned 1 year old.
Her father, Eberhard, was a German corporate attorney. Her mother, Lisa, once wrote for the soap, Guiding Light. The two divorced when Elisabeth was 8 or 9.
Wrote an unpublished novel about a 21-year-old woman in 1911 Scotland, whose husband committed suicide.
She made Maxim magazine's "Hot 100" list in 2002, voted one of the most watchable women in entertainment.
Collects paintings by Woodstock, New York artist Justin Love. Love is also a friend of hers.
