Once worked as a counselor at a maximum security prison.

Half-Irish and half-Italian.

She was a model at the age of 12.

While deciding on her major at New York's Stony Brook University, she took various theater classes. She then applied for a scholarship to a prestigious drama program at Loughborough University in England. She was accepted overseas and studied classical theater, eventually graduating with a joint B.A. from the two universities.

She is also a budding author. Her first book, The Girl Code, was released on Valentine's Day 2001 and is currently working on her second book. She has also written for Jane, Esquire, Glamour and Self magazines and is a regular monthly contributor to Cosmopolitan, Soma and Gear.

Started a card company after a breakup with her fiancee.

She is producing a forthcoming HBO documentary about the Children of God cult, more recently known as the Family of Love and just The Family. Titled
No Longer Children, the doc will examine the lives of several children who escaped the cult and had to be reintroduced into mainstream society without money, education or family support. She will produce and add artistic opinions.

During her freshman year in college (at Stonybrook), was crowned "Miss New York,". She is (or was at the time) at 19, the youngest woman ever to hold that title.
