Engaged to English poet Rupert Brooke, who was killed during World War I, Cathleen Nesbitt was one of the great beauties of her day. She reprised her role as Henry Higgins' mother in the musical "My Fair Lady" 30 odd years later IN HER NINETIES, along with a 70ish Rex Harrison. She had a romance with the poet Rupert Brooke from 1912 to his death in 1915. Sister of actor Tom Nesbitt. Her daughter by Cecil Ramage, Jennifer Ramage (born 24th September 1928, London) was a famous radio actress, character-impressionist and comedienne, as well as a thriller novelist under a pseudonym.
